Lin Yi, an overworked office worker, dies from overtime and is reborn as a lame, abandoned stray cat. With the calm wits of an adult human, he earns his first safe shelter by rescuing a child trapped in a pit. Gradually, he unites cat clans, recruits dog allies and tames crows to build a massive animal legion. He catches snakes and rats, outwits dog thieves, saves a drowning kid through sewers on a stormy night, and boosts local agriculture and the city’s economy via livestreams. Once scorned ragged stray, he becomes the trusted guardian of the whole city. “Call the Marshal” turns into the city’s famous catchphrase.
