For seven years, Claire was James’s most devoted employee by day and his secret lover by night. She sacrificed everything for him, only to have her hard-earned promotion handed to his returning "first love" . The ultimate betrayal came when James ignored her desperate SOS during a violent attack to appease his mistress .Left for dead and broken-hearted, Claire finally walks away to reclaim her life. Years later, he’s on his knees. "Claire, I’ve been looking for you. I made a mistake." He finds that the "good girl" he once manipulated has evolved into a Queen who no longer needs his throne.
